Lyca company ready to sue vfx work delay

2.0 team spilled the beans, on condition of anonymity. “The VFX delivery has been gravely defaulted by a US company that took on the task of doing the entire special effects of out film. So, we had to pill out 1,000 shots from the film and send them off to 10 different VFX companies, a 100 shots to each! This meant a great deal of criminal delay. In fact, I’ll tell you the truth, they’ve cheated us, and we’re now planning to take legal action against them.” The source adds that the legal process too is taking longer than expected, since the VFX company has declared itself bankrupt. “It’s a fraud pulled on us deliberately. Our producers, Lyca, are considering serious legal actions. It’s shocking that such a huge VFX company in the US, which has won Oscars for its work, pulled such a swindle on a relatively small Indian production house like ours, trying to excel in VFX. It feels like a sabotage,” the source exclaims.
