రైల్వే భోజనం బాగలేకపోతే లక్ష జరిమానా!

ఆకలైనప్పుడు అన్నం బాగలేకపోయిన సర్థుకుపోతాం. అది అమ్మ చేసిన చేతి వంట అయితే. కానీ అదే బయట మనం తినెటప్పుడు.. కొంచెం చుసుకోని తినాలని చెబుతున్నారు. అదే దూర ప్రయాణాలు చేసే వారు చాలా జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండాలి. భారీగా పైసల్ చెల్లించిన.. సరిగ్గా భోజనం దొరకని పరిస్థితి మనకు కనిపిస్తుంది. ఆకలై ఏదో ఒక చోట అన్నం తింటే.. అనారోగ్యం పాలవటం మనకు నిత్యం కనిపిస్తుంది. ఇక అదే ట్రైన్ లో అయితే భోజన సంగతి చెప్పనవరం లేదు.

తమిళ హీరో విక్రమ్ నటించిన ..అపరిచితుడు సినిమాలో రైల్లో భోజనం ఎలా ఉంటుందో ..మనకు కళ్లకు కట్టినట్లు తెరపై చూపించారు. అంతేకాకుండా.. ఆ సినిమాలో రైల్లో కేటరింగ్ చేసే కాంట్రాక్టర్ కు వేసే శిక్ష చాలా మందికి తెలుసు. అయితే అదే నిజ జీవితంలోనూ మనకు అలాంటి పరిస్థితి ఎదురైతే. ఒక్కసారి ఊహించుకోండి? అయితే ఇ ఇక నుండి మనకు అలాంటి కష్టాలు ఉండవని రైల్వే అధికారులు అంటున్నారు.

ఇక మీదట రైల్లో ప్రయాణించే ప్రయాణీకులు భోజనం భాగాలేదని ఫిర్యాదు చేస్తే చాలు.. !!!! సదరు కాంట్రాక్టర్ పై లక్ష రూపాయల జరిమానాతో పోటు.. జీవిత కాల నిషేదం కూడా ఉంటుందని రైల్వే శాఖ అధికారులు చెబుతున్నారు. ప్రయాణికులకు అందుబాటలో టోల్ ఫ్రీ నంబరు ను పెడుతున్నట్లు సమచారం. అయితే ఫిర్యాదు అంది న ఏడు రోజుల్లోనే.. సదరు కాంట్రాక్టర్ పై.. చర్యలు తీసుకోవటం జరుగుతుందని రైల్వే అధికారులు చెబుతున్నారు. రైల్లో ప్రయాణించే ప్రయాణుకులారా.. !! మీరు ఇక దైర్యంగా ఫిర్యాదు చేయ్యచ్చు. రైల్లో దొరికే ప్రతి ఆహారంపై.. మీరు రాజీపడి తినకండి? అడిగే హక్కును, పశ్నించి సమాధనం తెలుసుకోండి? మోసం చేసేవారికి శిక్ష వేయించండి?

For many travelling on trains, the quality of food leaves much to be desired. But now the railway board's own inspection report shows just how sub-standard it really is.The food that is served to you on trains is cooked in pantry cars that are dirty, smelly and waterlogged. And the washing area is dirty and unhygienic. That's how Railways' own inspection report talks about the pantry cars.

Railways report exposes how food is prepared in filthy conditions and says that the food served in trains is cooked in dirty, smelly and waterlogged pantry cars including even in premier express trains. The report says that cockroaches were all around the GT Express pantry car.

In the Shramjivi Express, the water used for washing coaches was also used for cooking and in the Bihar Sampark Kranti, samosas were found kept in a dirty basket along with mops.On the Tamil Nadu Express, vegetables kept on stores shelf were not fresh and black stains were found on cabbage.

Indian Railways has received over 7,400 complaints for supplying substandard food and poor hygiene on its trains. The public sector giant chose to terminate the services of only 23 contractors against whom complaints were filed.

The Railways intends to set up a grid of modern, medium and small 'base kitchens' as part of the efforts to address the complaints of hygiene and substandard food, they had decided to set up 'base kitchens' at prominent stations where the meals could be prepared.. These kitchens would provide quality food to the passengers at stations and even on trains, thus doing away with the need to prepare food on the trains.
